Orkney 14Y – 60.8%

Our Orkney Cask Share cask (#043) has turned 14 years old, and we have had it bottled, at full cask strength of 60.8%. The whisky is not watered down or added color, it has been bottled, just as it was on the cask.

We must not write here or on our bottles which distillery is in question. But we can then tell that it comes from the Orkney Islands, and it is not the southernmost distillery 🙂

Jim Murray, in his 2023 edition of The Whiskey Bible, has given this 14-year-old Orkney 88.5 points out of a possible 100, and the blend has written the following: Well made, refreshing and salivating. But it is the intensity of the barley which sticks in both palate and memory
