After 8 years in a red wine barrique, we have now bottled this Whitlaw, which is distilled at Highland Park in the Orkney Islands, and bottled at cask strength of 65.2%. The whisky has aged in this red wine cask for all of 8 years and has not been filtered or added color – what delicious whisky has come out of it .
248 bottles came out of the cask when it was bottled, and 125 bottles have been sold to a club before bottling.
If you are into Highland Park whisky, then this Whitlaw red wine Barrique bottling is an absolute must for the bar cupboard. The red wine cask in which it has been aged has given the whisky an absolutely fantastic taste and a nice natural color.
