Cameronbridge 42Y – 45.3%

In the Duncan Taylor series called Rare Rare Auld Dimensions Grain serie, we find this 42-year-old bottling from the Cameronbridge distillery, which is bottled at a cask strength of 45.3%. The whisky is neither cold filtered nor artificially colored. The aftertaste (finish) on this whisky reminds one of vanilla, fruits and chocolate, and is a really nice round and delicious bottling.

The whisky is neither cold filtered nor artificially colored.

Very fresh for its age, spun sugar, Victoria sponge with whipped vanilla cream, tinned fruit salad, and a touch of fresh sawn oak

Palate

Big and creamy, lashings of fruits, tropical piña colada with fresh apple and coconut, An unexpected maltiness amongst the fruits. More vanilla than the nose

Finish

Good length, the vanilla is more assertive. The fruit fades to a more chocolatey aftertaste
